FutureCom E

FutureCom E is Corning's proven system solution for symmetrical cabling. It exceeds all requirements of the current ISO/IEC standards, Class D and E for transmission paths and Categories 5 and 6 for components. In addition, the FutureCom E system also satisfies Category 5e. A very high level of system reserve is achieved for the entire cabling section through the use of high-quality Category 6 connection technology, Category 6 and 7 cables and corresponding Category 6 connecting cables.

Cables
For FutureCom E, zero halogen cables (LSZH) with foil-shielded pairs (STP) and with additional full shielding using braided copper wire (S-STP) are available. The cables used are non-corrosive, low smoke and flame retardant. The low signal delay margins between the pairs (low-skew) emphasize their suitability for Gigabit Ethernet.

Connecting Hardware
The core item of the FutureCom E cabling system solution is the proven Category 6 S250 Connection Module. This extremely compact RJ45 Module, with its outstanding technical transmission values, stable die cast housing, simple wire management and integrated cable clamp, is compatible with the high-quality modular connection technology.

Patch Cords
The Cat. 6 patch cords used in the FutureCom E System are Category 7 flex wire with shielded RJ45 Plugs at both ends. The flex wire have four individual foil-shielded pairs and full braided copper wire shielding. In addition, Cat. 5 patch cords are available for applications with lower-level requirements. The Zero Halogen patch cables (LSZH) are non-corrosive, low smoke and flame retardant. They are available in various lengths and colors.
