TS LAN 400: Hands-On Installation Technology Course for Multimode Optical Local Area Networks TS LAN 400 is a four-day course that prepares craftsmen for all aspects of fiber optic cable installation in a local area network environment. Cable placement, fusion and mechanical splicing, cable termination (connector installation and pigtail splicing) and acceptance testing are taught with extensive hands-on practice. Also covered is the use of equipment, hardware and procedures pertaining to building distribution and campus applications. TS LAN 500: Hands-On Comprehensive Installation Technology Course for Multimode and Single-mode Optical Local Area Networks TS LAN 500 is a five-day course that prepares craftsmen for all aspects of fiber optic cable installation in a local area network environment. Both multimode and single-mode fiber types are covered.
